The Frevo Palace is a space dedicated to the research, recreation and training in the areas of dance and music, aiming to spread their practice for future generations.
This building is a reference center of actions, projects, documentation, transmission, conservation and enhancement of this Brazilian cultural tradition, recognized as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO activities.
Is place to study, create, experiment and experience the rich universe of stories, personalities, memories and artistic languages of this popular dance.
The project, which is collaboration between the Recife government and the Roberto Marinho Foundation, was imagined 6 years ago and work began in 2010 to create and renovate the space.
The building is located at the Praça do Arsenal in the Recife neighborhood.; the entry is free on Tuesday. On the other days you have to pay R$6.
Opening Times:
Tuesday -Wednesday-Friday: 9am - 6pm
Thursday: 9am - 9pm.
Saturday- Sunday: 12m -7pm
