Directions to Shopping Guararapes
The main alternative shopping centre/mall immediately south of Boa Viagem, Recife, in neighbouring Piedade district and close to all the major hotels and the beach in the region.
Opened in 1992, with 260 shops on just one floor, a large Hiper Bompreço (Walmart group) supermarket, an ample food square (with space for kids to run around) and an excellent cinema complex run by Cinepolis group.
Guararapes is smaller than the giant shopping centres in Boa Viagem and thus easy to find your way around and, being on one floor, for disabled visitors.
It has on site a DETRAN (PE) administrative and verification centre for all your car licensing and documentational needs.
