International roaming charges in Brazil can be high. To economise on calls and internet whilst travelling, buy a local pre-paid SIM card upon arrival at a Claro store or a reseller.

Shopping Center Recife in Boa Viagem district has one of Claro Mobile's flagship stores in Recife. Claro is one of the biggest mobile network operators throughout Latin America.

Here you can buy a SIM pre-paid/PAYG card, modem (dongle) for your laptop/tablet or get information on roaming whilst travelling in Brazil.

Be aware that roaming charges for data and mobile calls can be very high in Brazil. If you wish to use your own network provider, please check with them in advance of travelling.
