The 'Macunaíma' restaurant has units in both South and North zones of Recife, in the Boa Viagem and Graças neighbourhoods, respectivelly. The two offer pretty much the same options, though the house in Boa Viagem is notably more spacious and has a more refined decoration.
During lunch, the house serves a kilo buffet with a wide range of dishes. Salads, seafood, meat, pasta and a myriad of other options are available, often prepared in a new and creative way. Desserts are also a delight.
Yet, it is for dinner that most people come to Macunaíma. At night the house strips down the buffet to salads, pasta and other side dishes so that guests can focus on the house's main attraction: all-you-can-eat pizza. Waiters will come to and fro carrying pizzas, which range from traditional flavours to less obvious ones, pasta, crêpes and other dishes from table to table. You can even have chocolate pizza for dessert - as many slices as you wish!
