Bora Bora Bar & Restaurant - Carneiros

Recife

What a view - one of the most spectacular of the region! The danger is you spend all day lazily looking out over the beaches besides the Rio Formoso estuary and the ocean over the reefs. Bora Bora's menu has typical beach snacks and drinks, scrumptous seafood including more elaborate creations.

Bora Bora Beach Bar and Restaurant started as a lonely coconut stand in 1999 on the then deserted Carneiros beach and has grown to accomodate up to 300 visitors. The view is as delicious as the food and has the best, and most colourful, infrastructure in Carneiros.

Bora Bora is right next to the idyllic Pontal dos Carneiros Beach Bungalows.

The owner and founder Marta Ramos' family has owned the beach for generations which was originally just a coconut plantation. She was concerned at the uncontrolled exploitation of this area of considerable natural beauty and the effect weekend visitors were having on it.

Apart from its beachfront location, Bora Bora offers a resting place and watering hole for the whole family, whether they arrive on foot, by car or on a boat trip from Tamandare or Porto de Galinhas. There is a car park 100m back from beach, children's playground, showers and toilets for guests.
