Maximagem brought to Pernambuco a new concept in Diagnostic Imaging. The center that was inaugurated in 1992 in Recife, performs diagnostic tests in all the parts of the body.
Among the main pieces of equipment available, this medical center has tree magnetic resonance scanners, one of them a 3.OT (teslas), the only one in Recife; two multislice tomography machines, one of them with 64 channels that can record more than 100 images per second and two angiography machines.
The Medical Imaging Diagnostic Center performs about 3.000 tests per month. The Center participates in medical post-graduate programs (residency) through agreements with IMIP Hospital, Barão de Lucena Hospital and Clínicas Hospital of UFPE (Federal University of Pernambuco).
Specialties
Magnetic resonance: The equipment performs test that generates high definition pictures for the analysis of organs and structures inside the body without radiation emission. The test helps find the appropriate treatment.
Computerized tomography: Handset with software that allows useful functional studies in neuroradiology. Is a compact system designed to ensure high quality images. Helps the identification of the shape, volume and density and structure of tissues and organs.
Hemodynamics / Interventional Cardiology: Set of invasive medical procedures. (Cardiac Catheterization). It is a diagnostic test performed when there is a chance of failure of blood supply (coronary arteries), heart valve disease or congenital heart disease.
Angiography: This is a static and dynamic radiological examination of the blood vessels to visualize the arteries and veins, with the aim of identifying possible vascular changes.
Interventional Radiology: Medical specialty that allows the treatment of certain diseases, through the insertion of a vascular catheter (small flexible tube), image guided in digital radiography.
